Easy Eddie Phillips Wins; Gilmore and Martini Also In Winners Circle; 4 Tie For 4th

No one in the pool has UConn or Kentucky winning it all. Therefore, there are no more points to be had. The pool is over!

Easy Eddie Phillips takes home first prize of 2862 points. His son Bruce, a long time pool participant, says his dad is a "Villanova Believer." Easy Ed had Villanova going all the way. But his blind loyalty didn't cost him, as he was otherwise near-flawless across the board.

Conversely, UConn grad Mary Moran had several family members participating: husband Dan, sons Danny and Tommy, brother Tom Klepacki and nephew Greg Klepacki. Not one showed any faith in UConn. That's gotta be smarting right about now.

Pat Gilmore, who knows next to nothing about sports, takes home second place honors (778 points). Joe Martini, who typically finishes in the bottom 10 percent, bucked the odds this year and placed 3rd (503 points). Chris Kabbash, Judy Melani and Jason Henne tie for 4th and have to settle for a measly 106 points apiece.

P.S. The DFS Deadbeat list is comin.' There are several people who have not bucked up the $20 entry fee. If this applies to you, it's suggested you pay up now: 62 Alpine Drive, Wayne, NJ 07470. Or via PAYPAL: dscancarella@optonline.net

Chris Kabbash In Command; Henne, Gilmore, Phillips In Running

In four of the eight Final Four Scenarios, Chris Kabbash takes home first prize. Ironically, his father Charlie Kabbash, has clinched last place (229th). This would be the first time in our proud 24 year history that a father and son have finished first and last in the same year. Jason Henne, Pat Gilmore and Ed Phillips are also in the running for first place glory.

Tom Ford, Heather Corsetto, Jane Glozzy, John Ras, Will Meehan, Danny Kees, Meghan Scancarella, Glenn Finkel, Joe Martini, and Judy Melani are also vying to finish in the exclusive winners circle.

There are 4580 points at stake. The winner will collect 62.5% of those points. The remaining points will be broken down as: Second Place 17%, Third Place 11%, Fourth Place 7.0%.
